One mobile Full HD platform for push-camera, crawler and combined inspection.
The Rausch Omicron is a professional mobile CCTV inspection platform that can be configured for push-camera work, crawler inspection or both. Built around the Rausch-Tab control system, Omicron gives contractors a flexible route from professional Full HD push inspection through to powered mainline crawler surveys without moving to a full vehicle installation.
A flexible Full HD inspection platform that can grow from professional push-camera inspection into powered crawler operation.
Start with the type of inspection work you carry out. Omicron can be supplied for professional push-camera inspection, crawler operation or both.
Professional push-camera inspection from 50 mm with the appropriate camera configuration. Our standard UK setup uses the Full HD KS60 HD2 pan-and-tilt camera for detailed inspection from DN100.
Explosion-protected push-camera configuration for suitable inspection work in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Powered mainline CCTV inspection using the FW90 steerable crawler and Full HD KS60 HD2 camera.
Combines professional push-camera and crawler inspection so the same mobile Omicron platform can cover both types of work.
Omicron is built around the Rausch-Tab control platform, providing system control, inspection viewing and documentation from one mobile unit. Inspection software can then be configured around the reporting requirements of the operator.
Rausch-Tab is the mobile control and computing platform for Omicron, bringing crawler and camera operation, inspection viewing, documentation and software capability into one unit.
PipeCommander can be integrated with the Omicron platform for structured CCTV inspection recording, defect documentation, project management and professional reporting.
Omicron is not limited to one camera head. The platform can be configured around the type of inspection being carried out, including Full HD pan-and-tilt inspection and compatible axial camera configurations.
The Full HD KS60 HD2 provides controllable pan-and-tilt viewing for detailed inspection of pipe walls, joints, connections and defects.
Omicron can also be configured with compatible Rausch axial camera heads where a fixed forward view is more appropriate than pan-and-tilt inspection or where a different camera diameter is required.
Omicron Drive adds powered and steerable crawler inspection for mainline sewer work, using the same mobile Omicron control platform.
Omicron Push & Drive is aimed at contractors who do not want separate control platforms for push-camera and powered crawler work.
The crawler configuration can be supplemented with an exchange push basket and 60 m push cable, allowing the Rausch-Tab and Omicron platform to move between the two inspection methods.
Omicron can be set up around different inspection requirements rather than being limited to one fixed camera head. This video shows how different camera arrangements can be used with the platform, including pan-and-tilt and axial inspection configurations.
Modular camera platform: the appropriate camera arrangement depends on the inspection method, pipe size, viewing requirements and Omicron configuration.
The right Omicron depends primarily on whether your work is push-camera, crawler or a combination of both.
For professional Full HD push-camera inspection where pan-and-tilt viewing and a 60 m standard UK push cable meet your requirements.
Where suitable push-camera inspection must be carried out using an appropriately specified explosion-protected system.
For powered mainline inspection using the FW90 crawler, KS60 HD2 camera and standard 150 m UK camera cable.
For contractors who regularly carry out both push-camera and crawler surveys and want both functions from one mobile platform.
Key information about Omicron Push, Drive and combined inspection configurations.
Omicron is a mobile Full HD CCTV inspection platform that can be configured for professional push-camera inspection, powered crawler inspection or both from the same platform.
Rausch UK offers Omicron Push, Omicron Push EX, Omicron Drive and combined Omicron Push & Drive configurations. The appropriate system depends on the type of inspection work being carried out.
The standard Rausch UK Omicron Push configuration uses a 60 m push cable.
The standard Rausch UK Omicron Push configuration uses the Full HD KS60 HD2 pan-and-tilt camera. Compatible axial camera arrangements can also be considered where the application requires a different viewing method.
The standard Rausch UK Omicron Drive configuration uses the FW90 powered crawler together with the KS60 HD2 Full HD camera and 150 m camera cable.
The FW90 crawler used with the standard Rausch UK Omicron Drive configuration is designed for mainline inspection from approximately DN100 to DN600.
Omicron Drive is a compact mobile crawler configuration based around the FW90 and is particularly suited where portability is important or where push-camera and crawler capability are required from the same platform. Cubix 300 is a dedicated mobile crawler platform with up to 300 m of camera cable and can be configured with either the FW90 or larger FW135 crawler. This gives Cubix greater scope for longer inspection distances, larger pipe diameters and additional system expansion. View the Cubix 300 system →
Yes. Omicron Push & Drive combines the crawler configuration with an exchange push basket and push cable, allowing both inspection methods to operate from the same Omicron and Rausch-Tab platform.
Yes. Omicron Push EX is available for suitable hazardous-area applications. The exact equipment configuration and certification requirements should be confirmed for the intended working environment.
Yes. The Rausch-Tab can be expanded with PipeCommander inspection software for structured inspection recording, defect documentation, project management and reporting.
Yes. Tell Rausch UK whether your work is primarily push-camera inspection, crawler inspection or a combination of both. We can help specify the appropriate Omicron configuration and arrange a UK demonstration.
Both provide professional Rausch crawler inspection, but they are designed around different ways of working. The right choice depends on portability, inspection distance, pipe diameter and how far you want the system to expand.
Choose Omicron where portability is important or where you want push-camera and powered crawler inspection available from the same mobile platform.
Contractors who value portability, work mainly in smaller mainline sewers or want both push-camera and crawler capability without moving to a larger dedicated crawler platform.
Choose Cubix 300 where crawler inspection is the main job and you need greater cable capacity, a choice of crawler platforms or more room to expand the system.
Teams carrying out regular mainline crawler inspection, working across a wider range of pipe diameters or expecting to add larger-pipe, lateral or vehicle-based capability.
Tell us whether your work is primarily push-camera inspection, crawler inspection or both. Rausch UK can help specify the appropriate Omicron configuration, camera, cable and software setup and arrange a demonstration.
