Configure the crawler system around how you work, the pipes you inspect and the capability your team needs.
Rausch crawler systems range from portable field equipment through to fully integrated CCTV inspection vehicles. Start with the operating platform, then select the crawler, camera, cable length and additional inspection technology around your typical pipe diameters and survey work.
The first decision is the operating platform. Move from portable crawler inspection through to a fully integrated vehicle system depending on inspection distance, frequency of use and the level of vehicle integration required.
Compact mobile platform for operators who value portability and want professional crawler inspection with the option to combine push-camera and crawler work.
Professional mobile crawler platform with increased cable capacity and the choice of FW90 or FW135 crawler systems.
Dedicated vehicle-integrated crawler platform with built-in cable handling for professional teams carrying out regular mainline CCTV inspection.
Fully integrated vehicle operating platform combining crawler control, Full HD video, industrial PC, displays and inspection workflow.
Once the operating platform is selected, the crawler itself is chosen around the pipes and type of inspection work. For most Rausch mainline systems, the key decision is FW90 or FW135.
Compact steerable crawler configuration for professional mainline inspection where smaller sewer diameters make up the majority of the work.
Larger modular crawler platform for mainline inspection where wider pipe diameters or additional specialist inspection capability are required.
Mainline crawler inspection can be extended into lateral, large-diameter, measurement and mapping applications when the appropriate crawler, camera and accessory configuration is used.
Expand suitable FW135 systems into house connections and connected laterals for satellite inspection from the mainline sewer.
Extend suitable FW135 crawler configurations for centred inspection in larger sewers and pipelines, with capability extending up to DN3000.
Extend visual inspection with additional measurement capability for assessing pipe deformation, profile and diameter variation.
Add pipe-route and spatial documentation capability to compatible inspection systems for applications where position and route information are required.
The control environment depends on the operating platform, while inspection software can be configured around the documentation and reporting requirements of the survey team.
Mobile control platform used across compatible Omicron, Cubix 300 and ELKA 600 systems for crawler, camera, inspection recording and software operation.
Fully integrated vehicle workstation combining industrial-PC control, Full HD inspection displays and multifunction crawler and camera controls.
Expand the inspection workflow with structured survey recording, defect documentation, project management, reporting and data export.
Rausch crawler systems can be integrated into complete CCTV inspection vehicles, from compact Cubix 300 installations through to dedicated ELKA 600 and fully integrated RCA 5.0 systems.
The vehicle can then be configured around your crawler equipment, operator workspace, power requirements, storage and the type of inspection work your team carries out.
I-LOOK HD provides rapid Full HD inspection directly from the manhole, helping identify pipe condition and where a more detailed crawler inspection may be required.
Explore I-LOOK HD →Key questions when choosing a professional crawler system for sewer and pipeline inspection.
A crawler inspection system uses a powered camera vehicle that travels through the pipe while transmitting inspection video back to the operator. It is used for detailed CCTV inspection of mainline sewers and pipelines where a push camera is not the most suitable inspection method.
The pipe range depends on the crawler configuration. The FW90 is used from approximately DN100 to DN600. The FW135 covers DN135 to DN1600 as standard, with suitable Lafette configurations extending capability up to DN3000.
Omicron is the more compact portable platform and is particularly useful where FW90 crawler inspection or combined push-camera and crawler capability is required. Cubix 300 is a dedicated mobile crawler platform with up to 300 m camera cable and can be configured around either the FW90 or FW135.
Cubix 300 is a mobile electric cable platform that can also be incorporated into a vehicle. ELKA 600 is designed specifically around permanent vehicle installation and includes integrated equipment for crawler deployment and cable handling.
RCA 5.0 is intended where the entire CCTV vehicle is being built around a fully integrated inspection workstation. It combines industrial-PC control, dedicated displays, crawler and camera controls and long-distance Full HD inspection capability.
Yes. Suitable FW135 systems can be expanded with the Rausch M-Series for specialist satellite inspection into connected laterals and house connections.
Yes. Rausch UK offers complete CCTV inspection vehicle configurations using Cubix 300, ELKA 600 and RCA 5.0 equipment depending on the level of integration and inspection capability required. View the CCTV van packages →
Start with the pipe diameter, required inspection distance, how often the equipment will be used and whether you need a portable, mobile or permanently vehicle-integrated system. Rausch UK can then match the application to the appropriate operating platform, crawler, camera and cable configuration.
Tell us the pipe diameters, inspection distances and type of surveys you carry out. Rausch UK can help specify the operating platform, crawler, camera, cable and software configuration and arrange a demonstration.
