RIDGID Drain Cleaning

RIDGID Water Jetters

Professional high-pressure water jetting machines for clearing, cleaning and flushing drains and pipework.

The RIDGID KJ water jetter range uses high-pressure water and flexible jetting hose to break through sludge, grease, soap, sediment and other deposits while flushing loosened material through the line. Choose from electric and petrol machines for pipes from 32 mm up to 250 mm diameter.

Water Jetter Range

Three Machines for Different Levels of Drain Cleaning

From a compact electric jetter for internal and everyday drainage work through to a high-output petrol machine for larger commercial and industrial lines.

How a Drain Water Jetter Works

High-pressure water performs two jobs at the same time: driving the hose into the line and cleaning the pipe as the hose is withdrawn.

1

Feed the Hose into the Drain

Rear-facing water jets create thrust that helps propel the flexible hose and nozzle through the pipe.

2

Break Through Deposits

The selected nozzle directs high-pressure water at blockages and deposits such as grease, sludge, soap, sediment and other accumulated material.

3

Flush the Line Clean

As the hose is pulled back, the water scrubs the internal pipe surface and carries loosened material away through the drainage system.

Accessories

Configure the Jetter for the Job

Different nozzles, hose sizes and accessories allow RIDGID water jetters to be configured around the blockage, pipe diameter and access conditions.

Propulsion Nozzles

Designed to maximise rearward thrust and help drive the jetting hose further through the drain.

Penetrating Nozzles

Forward-facing jetting action helps break through obstructions and concentrated deposits.

Spinning & Specialist Nozzles

Alternative nozzle patterns can improve cleaning of the pipe wall or tackle more demanding deposits.

Hoses, Reels & Foot Valves

Different hose lengths, hose reels and remote foot controls help adapt the system to the working environment.

After Jetting

Clearing the blockage is only part of the job

Once a drain or pipe has been cleared, CCTV inspection can help confirm the result, identify the underlying condition and show whether further work may be required.

1 Clear

Remove deposits, debris and blockages with the appropriate jetter.

2 Inspect

Carry out a CCTV inspection to see the internal condition of the pipe.

3 Verify

Confirm the cleaning result and identify defects or further work.

Frequently Asked Questions

RIDGID Water Jetter FAQs

Common questions about choosing a professional RIDGID drain jetting machine.

What is a water jetter used for?
A water jetter uses high-pressure water to clear and clean drain and pipe interiors. It can break through and flush away deposits such as sludge, soap, grease and sediment while cleaning the internal pipe surface as the hose is withdrawn.
What size drains can RIDGID water jetters clean?
The KJ-1590 II and KJ-2200 are designed for drain lines from 32 mm to 150 mm. The larger KJ-3100 is designed for lines from 50 mm to 250 mm.
What is the difference between the KJ-1590 II and KJ-2200?
Both cover a 32–150 mm pipe range. The KJ-1590 II uses a 2.2 kW electric motor and operates at 80 bar with 15 l/min flow. The petrol-powered KJ-2200 increases working pressure to 150 bar while delivering 9 l/min.
When would I choose the KJ-3100?
The KJ-3100 is the higher-capacity choice for larger commercial and industrial drainage work. It operates at 205 bar with 21 l/min flow and is designed for pipes from 50 mm to 250 mm.
What does pulse action do on a water jetter?
Pulse action changes the water delivery to help the jetting hose negotiate difficult bends and traps. RIDGID provides pulse functionality across the KJ water jetter range.
Which nozzle should I use?
The correct nozzle depends on the machine, hose, pipe diameter and type of blockage or cleaning work. Propulsion, penetrating, spinning and other specialist nozzle designs are available for different applications. Rausch UK can help specify compatible equipment.
