Rausch M-Series satellite lateral inspection system

Rausch M-Series Lateral Inspection System

Inspect the mainline and connected house connections from one FW135 crawler platform.

The Rausch M-Series expands the FW135 crawler into a satellite inspection system for mainline sewers and connected laterals. It allows operators to position and feed a dedicated camera into house connections directly from the mainline, bringing both inspection tasks together in one operation.

Mainline and Lateral Inspection in One Operation

M-Series uses the steerable FW135 crawler as the base platform. Once positioned in the mainline, the satellite equipment allows a separate camera to be launched into connected house connections for inspection.

This allows the main sewer and its connected laterals to be investigated as part of the same inspection operation rather than treating each pipe as a completely separate survey.

Choose Your M-Series Configuration

Both systems use the FW135 as the base crawler. The appropriate configuration depends primarily on the mainline diameter and how the satellite camera needs to be positioned into the house connection.

Cleaning & Jetting Options

M-Series can be expanded with jetting equipment where a house connection needs to be cleaned before or during satellite camera inspection.

M-Series Builds on the FW135 Crawler Platform

M-Series is not a separate base crawler. It adds satellite lateral-inspection capability to the FW135 platform. If your work is primarily standard mainline CCTV, start with the crawler system first. If you also need to inspect connected house connections from the mainline, M-Series can then be specified around that requirement.

Rausch M-Series FAQs

Key information about lateral launch inspection, FW135 compatibility and M-Series configurations.

What is the Rausch M-Series?

M-Series is a satellite inspection system based around the FW135 crawler. It allows the mainline sewer and connected house connections to be inspected from the mainline as part of one inspection operation.

Which crawler does the M-Series use?

The M-Series is based around the steerable FW135 crawler with electric lifting gear. Additional modules are then fitted around the lateral-inspection configuration.

What is lateral launch CCTV inspection?

Lateral launch inspection uses a crawler positioned in the mainline sewer to deploy a separate inspection camera into a connected lateral or house connection.

What is the difference between PM135 and PKM200 HD?

The PM135 configuration is specified for mainline diameters from approximately DN135 to DN1200 and uses separate positioning, observation and cable-feed modules. The PKM200 HD configuration covers approximately DN200 to DN1800 and uses the PKM200 HD module for positioning the lateral launch camera.

Which camera is used for the lateral inspection?

Both M-Series configurations listed by Rausch use the KS60 HD pan-and-tilt camera for inspection of house connections.

Can the lateral be cleaned before inspection?

Rausch offers additional jetting and dual-jetting components for M-Series applications where cleaning of the lateral connection is required as part of the inspection.

Is M-Series a standalone crawler system?

No. M-Series is built around the FW135 crawler and adds satellite lateral-inspection capability to that platform. The complete configuration should therefore be specified around the crawler system and the lateral work required.

Can I arrange an M-Series demonstration?

Yes. Tell Rausch UK the mainline diameters, typical house-connection sizes and the type of lateral survey work you carry out. We can help specify the appropriate FW135 and M-Series configuration and arrange a demonstration.

Need to Inspect Laterals from the Mainline?

Tell us the mainline diameters, house connections and type of lateral survey work you carry out. Rausch UK can help specify the appropriate FW135, M-Series configuration and additional equipment and arrange a demonstration.
