Rausch Cavity Inspection Camera
See inside cavity walls without opening them up. A compact professional system for wall-tie surveys, insulation checks and inspection of hidden voids through a small access hole.

Look sideways into the cavity
The specialist rigid probe gives a 90° side view, making it particularly useful where the condition of a wall tie, insulation or the cavity itself needs to be seen rather than simply looking straight ahead.
- 9.5 mm probe diameter for minimally disruptive access
- 270 mm working length for practical cavity-wall inspection
- High-intensity LED illumination for dark internal voids
- Clear 60° field of view for surveying the surrounding cavity
Built for inspection work where access is limited
A practical camera for surveyors, building inspection teams and maintenance contractors who need visual evidence without unnecessary opening-up work.
Wall-tie inspection
View ties and the surrounding cavity condition through a small drilled access point.
Cavity & insulation surveys
Check hidden wall voids and inspect the presence or condition of insulation.
Dry rot & pest investigation
Inspect inaccessible building voids where opening the structure would be disruptive.
General void inspection
A rigid side-view solution for building, marine and other hard-to-reach inspection tasks.

View and record the inspection on site
The cavity probe connects to the portable TFT7R monitor to give the operator a clear live view during the survey. Video and still-image recording allows useful evidence to be retained for reporting, customer records and follow-up work.
High-intensity LED lighting at the probe helps illuminate the cavity, with the historic Rausch UK specification quoting illumination up to approximately 1.5 metres depending on cavity depth and conditions.
Compact access, useful cavity coverage
Access and illumination performance depend on the structure, cavity condition and inspection setup.

Cavity camera FAQs
What size hole is needed for the cavity camera?
The 9.5 mm probe can be used through a 10 mm access hole where necessary. The Rausch UK specification recommends a 12.5 mm drilled hole when using the insertion tube.
Does the probe look straight ahead?
No. This version uses a 90° side-view probe, which is particularly useful for viewing wall ties and the condition of the cavity around the probe.
Can the inspection be recorded?
Yes. The system supports video and still-image recording so inspection evidence can be retained for reports and customer records.
What can it be used to inspect?
Typical applications include cavity walls, wall ties, insulation, dry rot and pest investigations, building voids and other locations suited to a rigid side-view endoscope.
Can Rausch UK advise whether it will suit my application?
Yes. Send us the access size, approximate cavity depth and what you need to see, and we can confirm suitability before you order.
Need to see inside a cavity without opening it up?
Add the complete cavity inspection camera kit to your basket for £1,000, add it to an enquiry, or speak to Rausch UK if you want to check the application first.
