The Rausch UK 512 Hz Rodding Sonde is a powerful, self-contained and waterproof locating transmitter designed for tracing underground pipes and identifying the position of blockages, collapses and other points of interest.

Operating at 512 Hz, this version is particularly suited to locating from within cast iron pipes, where higher-frequency signals can be more difficult to detect. The sonde can be attached to Cobra Rods, Flex Rods, Drain Rods and other suitable push-rod systems using its M10 threaded connection.

Once positioned inside the pipe, the sonde emits a continuous locating signal which can be detected from above ground using a compatible 512 Hz cable locator or receiver. This allows the operator to trace the route of the pipe and pinpoint the position of a blockage or other underground feature before excavation or repair work begins.

How It Works

Attach the sonde to a compatible rod and feed it through the pipe until it reaches the area requiring investigation. The sonde continuously transmits a 512 Hz signal, allowing a compatible receiver to detect its position from above ground.
